Equipment hire

The prices shown below do not include equipment hire. We have some equipment we can hire directly (see here for prices) and we work with local hire companies where appropriate to make sure you have everything you need.

Please note that buoyancy aids are mandatory for all kayakers and canoeists, and advisory for paddleboarders.

Flat Water Kayaking Skills

We have divided the flat water kayaking skills into 3 levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced (these exceed the requirements of the British Canoeing Start, Discover and Explore Awards). Each of the three levels includes paddle strokes and techniques, rescue skills and need-to-know knowledge such as hypothermia or where you can paddle. We would be happy to discuss which level is appropriate, especially if you already have some paddling skills. Please note that this course needs a minimum of 2 people.
